Possible dates of placement
Summer Students may have a placement at CERN for a period ranging between eight weeks minimum and thirteen weeks maximum. Students for the Non-Member State Programme will have a contract for a period of eight weeks. Below you will find the possible dates for the summer of 2025, depending on the length of your placement.
Most of the organized activities (lectures, visits, workshops) take place in July and August. The 5-week lecture programme will start on (TBC) Tuesday 27 June 2023 and will end on Friday 28 July (please note that placement starting on July 3rd does not cover the entire lecture programme). We strongly recommend choosing the period that covers the whole lecture programme.
Please note that Summer Student contracts always start on a Monday and end on a Friday and the students are expected to be at CERN in the morning (at 8h30) on their first contract day for an official Welcome Session and arrival formalities. The last working day students are expected to perform their termination formalities before ending their contract ends.
